An oil tanker has reportedly been hit in an attack in the Strait of Hormuz, according to a notice issued on October 4 by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).
The notice said the tanker was struck by an "unidentified projectile," damaging its engine room, while all personnel on board were safe. No reports of environmental impact had been received so far.
The notice did not specify the exact time of the incident, and an investigation is currently underway.
