Hong Kong Dollar Interbank Rates Climb Across the Board; One-Month Rate Rebounds to 2.89%

On September 23, Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates (HIBOR) rose across all tenors, with the one-month rate, which is closely tied to mortgage pricing, reversing an earlier decline to settle at 2.88571%, up 4.232 basis points.
The three-month rate, a key gauge of bank funding costs, advanced 5.548 basis points to 3.11566%. Overnight rates climbed 22.083 basis points to 2.34333%, while the one-week rate increased 9.185 basis points to 2.42030%.
The two-week rate moved higher by 13.619 basis points to 2.81595%, and the two-month rate gained 5.643 basis points to 3.04220%. In longer tenors, the six-month rate rose 1.803 basis points to 3.47726%, while the one-year rate ticked up 2.988 basis points to 3.90833%.
