Safety Reminders for the Return Trip During the National Day Holiday

Deep News
Yesterday

The National Day holiday has entered its fifth day, and as the second half of the break unfolds, many people are beginning their journey home early.

Traffic management authorities predict that starting today, a peak in return traffic will emerge on routes heading into Beijing, with the heaviest flow concentrated during the afternoon hours.

Major transportation hubs including Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing Railway Station, Beijing North Railway Station, Capital International Airport, and Daxing International Airport will also see peak return passenger volumes during the holiday.

According to dynamic assessments by the Ministry of Transport, 36 highway sections across the country are prone to congestion on October 5, mainly located in provinces such as Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, and Guangdong.

If you plan to travel through these areas, please arrange your departure time and route reasonably. Here is the list of highway sections prone to congestion based on dynamic assessment for October 5.

Driving Safety Reminders for the Return Trip

Before setting out on a self-driving trip, pay attention to the weather forecast, make thorough plans, and stay alert for rain, snow, and patchy fog. Follow standard driving practices.

Please keep these safety reminders for your holiday return trip handy.

Special Reminder

Intelligent driving assistance is by no means the same as fully autonomous driving. When such systems are engaged, your hands must remain on the steering wheel and your eyes must stay on the road. Taking your hands off the wheel, looking away, or dozing off is strictly prohibited.

Special Reminder

In autumn, patchy fog frequently appears on certain highway sections. When driving in foggy conditions, always remember to reduce speed, maintain a safe distance, and keep your lights on.

Risk Prevention at Stations and Airports During the Return Trip

During peak return periods, stations, airports, and similar locations are crowded with large flows of people. Parents traveling with children must stay focused and never let children out of sight.

At the same time, as stations and airports are densely populated public places, what other risks should you be aware of? What should you do in an emergency? Keep this safety guide on hand.
