Henan Launches Subsidy for New Car Purchases, Boosting Auto Consumption and Aftermarket on Multiple Fronts

Henan Province officially launched its 2026 "Enjoy Henan" new car purchase subsidy program on October 1.

In recent years, the province's automotive industry chain has continued to improve, with new energy vehicle penetration exceeding 56% across the province in 2025 and the market share of domestic brands surpassing 70%.

Henan is actively seizing this "new blue ocean," hosting the 2026 Henan International New Energy Vehicle Rally during the National Day holiday to drive automotive cultural tourism consumption.

Financial institutions are stepping up efforts in tandem. The Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone branch of Zhongyuan Bank has successively rolled out the bank's first "pickup truck loan" and "RV loan."

The two dedicated credit products offer a maximum limit of 1 million yuan and a maximum repayment period of 60 installments. The loans cover not only the principal of vehicle mortgages but also ancillary spending such as vehicle modifications and interior upgrades, and have already been introduced to the market.

Next, the provincial Department of Commerce will advance the development of Zhengzhou as a pilot city for automotive distribution and consumption reform, carry out activities including new energy vehicle rural promotions, rallies, and auto shows, expand aftermarket consumption in areas such as vehicle modification, leasing, and RV camping, and work with financial institutions to broaden product coverage around new automotive consumption scenarios, promoting the improvement and expansion of automotive consumption across the province.
