On September 22, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce released the "2026 China Top 500 Private Enterprises" list in Tianjin. In terms of regional presence, Zhejiang Province leads with 103 listed companies, accounting for 20.60% of the total 500, followed by Jiangsu Province with 91 and Shandong Province with 51, while Guangdong Province ranks fourth with 49 entries.
Among municipalities, Beijing has 24 companies on the 2026 private enterprise 500 list, generating a combined revenue of 4,735.651 billion yuan, representing 10.54% of the total revenue. Shanghai, on the other hand, has 18 listed companies with total revenue of 1,274.346 billion yuan, making up 2.84% of the overall revenue.
Beijing significantly outpaces Shanghai in both the number of listed companies and total revenue scale, highlighting the prominent size advantage of its leading private firms. The list also details the specific Beijing-based companies featured in the 2026 China Top 500 Private Enterprises, as well as the Shanghai-based entrants included in the same ranking.
