HONOR MATRIX (08186) has announced that, in a bid to continuously enhance shareholder returns, the group has identified potential business opportunities related to electric vehicle charging equipment.

The group intends to sell equipment to property owners, provide supporting installation and maintenance services, and install equipment in private car parks to offer charging services for EV owners.

As of the date of this announcement, the group has been in discussions with equipment suppliers, property owners and property management companies, but has not entered into any binding agreement.

The group is principally engaged in the sale of goods, including household products, planting products and decorative items, as well as the provision of consulting services, and now plans to expand its product portfolio to cover equipment and provide related services.

The Hong Kong government is actively promoting the transition from traditional petrol and diesel vehicles to electric vehicles as a core strategy to achieve zero vehicle emissions and carbon neutrality by 2050.

It is expected that the use of electric vehicles will continue to grow, and demand for equipment will rise accordingly. The board believes the market in this sector holds great potential.
