On the evening of September 29, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce issued the "Notice on Implementing Subsidies for Independent Categories of Consumer Goods Trade-Ins," deciding to carry out a subsidy program for independent categories of consumer goods trade-ins.
The subsidy period runs from October 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. Subsidy funds are allocated uniformly from the local matching funds required for ultra-long-term special government bond support for consumer goods trade-ins, adopting a total-amount control approach on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
According to the notice, the subsidized categories are smart range hoods, smart household stoves, smart dishwashers, water purifiers (including direct drinking machines and pipeline machines), smart cleaning robots (including robot vacuums, floor washers, and vacuum cleaners), smart toilets (including toilet seats), digital cameras (including action cameras), smart drones, smart projectors, and smart earphones — 10 categories in total.
Subsidized products must be Grade 1 energy efficiency or water efficiency products (no requirement applies where no energy or water efficiency standard exists). The subsidy standard is 15% of the final sales price after deducting discounts at all stages. Each consumer may receive a subsidy for one item per category, with a maximum subsidy of 1,500 yuan per item.
It should be noted that according to the notice requirements, the province implements unified subsidy categories and subsidy standards, and localities may not expand categories or change standards. Each city (prefecture) should promptly select participating business entities, add new coupon categories, and publish redemption rules in a timely manner. Policy-participating business entities are urged to promptly transmit subsidy order redemption data information back to the Sichuan Province Home Appliance Trade-In and Digital Product Purchase Subsidy Platform.
