NIO announced that on October 1, its total daily battery swaps reached 183,469, setting a new all-time high, with one NIO, Onvo, or Firefly vehicle completing a swap every 0.47 seconds on average.
The top three highway battery swap stations by swap volume on October 1 were: the NIO battery swap station at the Rizhao Service Area on the G15 Shenhai Expressway (Shenyang direction) in Rizhao, Shandong, with 211 swaps; the NIO battery swap station at the Toubao Service Area on the G1523 Yongguan Expressway (Dongguan direction) in Fuzhou, Fujian, with 200 swaps; and the NIO battery swap station at the Nanling Service Area on the G50 Huyu Expressway (Chongqing direction) in Wuhu, Anhui, with 193 swaps.
The top three urban battery swap stations by swap volume on October 1 were: the NIO battery swap station at Yisheng International in Ulanqab, with 146 swaps; the NIO battery swap station at New Century Park in Qinhuangdao, with 146 swaps; and the NIO battery swap station at Qingchui Peak National Forest Park in Chengde, with 142 swaps.
As of now, NIO has cumulatively built 9,515 battery charging and swap stations across the country, providing over 220 million charging and swapping services, including 4,160 battery swap stations that have delivered more than 126 million battery swap services in total; NIO's highway battery swap stations have reached 1,073, forming a nationwide highway battery swap network of 9 vertical and 11 horizontal routes across 16 major city clusters, connecting over 550 cities. Starting from any battery swap station in the country, drivers can complete their entire journey using battery swaps to reach all provincial-level administrative regions in mainland China.
