At a booth on the north side of the Cultural Square in Mengzhou City, Henan Province, vendor Zhi Yongxin from Huagong Town said, "This is my third year coming, and the event gets livelier every year. Our hundred-flower honey is collected by local bees, with pure color and mellow taste. It's genuine and authentic, and we sold quite a lot by mid-morning."

The 2026 Mengzhou City Farmers' Harvest Festival and Consumption Assistance Exhibition and Sales Event opened at the city's Cultural Square. With the theme "New Beginnings in Harvest, Promoting Revitalization through Hard Work," the event focuses on showcasing the city's achievements in high-quality agricultural and rural development and helping farmers increase their incomes.

At the exhibition and sales venue, specialty agricultural products such as pomegranates, grapes, apples, honey, and stone-milled flour were arrayed in dazzling abundance. Booths from 11 townships and subdistricts drew crowds of residents who stopped to shop, with an atmosphere of harvest joy everywhere.

With consumption assistance as a key lever, the event taps consumption potential through precise production-sales matching, opening a "fast lane" for agricultural products to circulate between urban and rural areas.

Taking this harvest festival exhibition and sales event as an opportunity, Mengzhou's townships and subdistricts continue to polish their specialty agricultural brands. Among them, Zhaohe Town highlights agricultural products such as rye flour, fresh mushrooms, and soft-seed pomegranates, precisely matching market demand and broadening sales channels for agricultural products.

In addition to agricultural product exhibition and sales, the event also features multiple sections including rural revitalization achievement displays and rule-of-law publicity. Centered on the theme "Rural Revitalization, Rule of Law First," staff explained on-site, popularizing agriculture-related legal knowledge and promoting policies that strengthen and benefit agriculture. The event also arranged wonderful artistic performances, allowing the public to feel the joyful atmosphere of the harvest through lively programs.

In recent years, Mengzhou City has firmly shouldered the important task of food security. On the basis of stabilizing grain production, it has continued to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively link them with rural revitalization, making the most of local advantages to develop the "native specialties" sector, promoting quality and efficiency improvements in rural industries, and painting a new picture of a livable, workable, and beautiful countryside.
