Banking and technology stocks slide as the Stoxx Europe 600 drops 0.4%. London's FTSE 100 slips 0.3%. Insurance group Standard Life slips 4.4% as financials drag on the index. In Frankfurt, the energy-sensitive DAX is down 0.5%. Defense group Rheinmetall falls 2%, while automakers broadly drop. BMW loses 2.6%. BNP Paribas falls 4.3% in Paris, helping drag the CAC 40 down 0.4%. French automakers also fall, though a cautious rally in luxury stocks helps soften losses. LVMH rises 0.8%.
