Hyster (HY) has delivered a hydrogen fuel cell-powered ReachStacker to Rotterdam Shortsea Terminals in the Netherlands as part of a joint initiative exploring hydrogen's role in decarbonizing ports and logistics.

The device will support operations in Europe's shortsea shipping hub, primarily handling 45-foot containers, the company said Thursday without disclosing any financial details.

The company said that the ReachStacker was supplied as part of a five-year innovation project supported by the Province of South Holland and the Just Transition Fund.
