Nvidia (NVDA) shares rose 1.7% in recent Friday trading after the stock earlier reached a record intraday high of $237.87, lifting its market capitalization to $5.7 trillion.
The shares opened at $236.05 after closing at $230.86 on Thursday.
The chipmaker is well positioned as the AI bottleneck shifts from semiconductor production limits to the pace of data center construction and financing, Morgan Stanley said in a report, reinstating the company as its top pick in semiconductors.
Earlier Friday, Nvidia said its DGX Spark personal AI computer will be offered in a new 64-gigabyte unified-memory configuration from Acer, Asus, Dell (DELL), Gigabyte, HP (HPQ), and MSI starting Oct. 23.
