BYD's (HKG:1211, HKG:81211) new energy vehicle sales rose to 463,561 units in September from 396,270 units in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Production increased to 463,864 units from 405,554 units in the prior year.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, sales and output fell 3.9% and 2.3% year over year to 3.13 million vehicles and 3.14 million units, respectively.
